I am a software architect living in the highly pleasant locale of Seattle. I have lived in MO, IL, TX, CA, and WA. I have also visited 21 others. I have been over both US-bordering oceans at least twice. My todo list (in the next 5ish years) for countries: Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Greece, Spain, Iceland, Egypt, Mexico, Romania, Czech Republic, New Zealand, Cambodia (plus Russia and Japan again). I have been to (in order) Taiwan, England, China, S. Korea, Germany, Russia, Canada, Japan, Netherlands, the UAE (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah), and France.
I listen to a wide range of music (from Mozart to Megadeath, and much in between). I am learning Japanese and eventually, Russian. I've been deemed a Japanophile by friends, and freely admit being a bit of an Anime addict, and try to keep up on series that are still airing in Japan.
I both tabletop game, and computer game. I started using a sketchbook, since I realized that I didn't totally suck at drawing. I am doing a history of history survey to determine how facts change as the years elapse.
I was an avid reader (mostly sci-fi & fantasy), and am working to return to that title. I ride a 1991 Suzuki GS500E. I have a daughter that is brilliant and trying. I have friends that are loving and wonderful.
My Credo: I will teach where I have knowledge, and I will learn where I do not. I will crush mediocrity, for it benefits no one. I will lead by example. I will give a hand up to those not as far as I. I will give a shoulder to stand for those ahead of me with eyes fixed skyward to see what is ahead. I will not go quietly into the night, beaten down by my demons and decisions.
The world moves on, and I move with it.
An act of compassion is easier than an act of contrition. There is always time enough for love, and patience gives you time, use it wisely.
